Shawnee High School is proud to announce that Meghan Warren, Girls Varsity Swim Coach, has been named Coach of the Year by both NJ.com and the South Jersey Interscholastic Swim Association.
Coach Warren has been coaching the Girls Swim Team as Head Varsity Coach since 2019 and has successfully grown the program as one of the strongest in South Jersey. In the 2023 season, Coach Warren led the team to her first sectional title and was named Coach of the Year by SJISA in that year. In this 2026 season, she led the team to win thirteen of their meets, where they were crowned South Jersey Invitational Champions, SJISL Division Champions, and NJSIAA Sectional Champions. After the state championship loss to Chatham, the Shawnee Girls Swim Team finished #2 in the state for the 2025-2026 season.
In addition to being named Coach of the Year by NJ.com, Coach Warren was also named Coach of the Year by the SJISA (South Jersey Interscholastic Swim Association) where she will be formally honored for this accomplishment at their end-of-season banquet. Mr. Rich Dodd, Shawnee High School Athletic Director, states ”Coach Warren has been a tremendous asset to not only the Shawnee Girls Swim Team but to the entire Athletics program. She is endlessly enthusiastic and supportive of each girl’s individual talents and brings a tremendous amount of positive energy to the spirit of competition.” He continues, “Coach Warren swam for Shawnee when she attended as a student, and now we are truly fortunate that she has returned and joined our coaching staff.”
