In January
Monroe Township is recycling bare Christmas trees that will be collected curbside on trash and recycling collection day. Flocked trees or trees with tinsel, garland, lights etc. will be picked up on designated bulk pick-up day. For Monday and Thursday collection day, bulk pick up will be Jan. 17 and for Tuesday and Wednesday collection day, bulk pick-up days will be Jan. 10 and 24.
Blood Drive
The American Red Cross encourages donors to give blood or platelets now to help protect the blood supply from the ongoing impact of severe winter weather and wildfires. Donors of all blood types – particularly type O negative blood donors and those giving platelets – are needed to help save lives this month. All who come to give through Feb. 28 will get a $15 e-gift card to a merchant of choice. See RedCrossBlood.org/Flurry for details.

Through Feb. 2, 2025 – The museum will feature O and O-27 gauge toy trains from the 1930’s, 1940’s and 1950’s. Lionel, Marx and American Flyer engines, with adjoining cars, will race on two diverse platforms. Vintage Plasticville buildings from the 1950’s will further augment the display. Vegetation and auxiliary structures will give the platforms a traditional holiday appearance.
NJ Motor Vehicle Commission Mobile Unit
The 4th Legislative District will be hosting the NJ Motor Vehicle Commission Mobile Unit at their Washington Township office, 129 Johnson Road, Suite 1, Turnersville from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. from Feb. 3-7. Any questions contact (856) 232-6700.
