The Voorhees Summer concert series is back for 2025, and it’s bigger and better than ever, according to planners.
Set against the backdrop of Connolly Park – affectionately known as “The Great Lawn” – this year’s series will begin on Thursday, June 26 and feature performances in diverse music genres and activities.
Concert coordinator Amanda Barone has worked over the past year to curate a concert series that reflects the tastes and spirit of the Voorhees community.
“I asked around and residents had great suggestions,” she said. “The goal was to bring in bands that play across genres, so everyone feels represented.”
Kicking off the series will be the FM Band, known for a set list that spans from classic rock to pop hits. Later in the season will come Tramps Like Us, the number one Bruce Springsteen tribute band in the world, and fan favorites the Beat Tells, a Beatles tribute band from Philadelphia that residents specifically requested.
Connolly Park has been the heart of township concerts for more than two decades, with its sprawling open field, ample parking and scenic views.
“We call it ‘The Great Lawn’ for a reason,” Barone explained. “There’s just something about this space that brings people together.”
To get the most out of the evening, attendees are encouraged to arrive an hour before showtime. That gives concertgoers time to secure parking, enjoy a bite from local food trucks, and settle in with lawn chairs or picnic blankets. Strollers and wagons are welcome, but pop-up tents are not permitted. Golf carts will be available to assist those who need help navigating the park.
This year, concertgoers can also look forward to up to five food vendors, offering a variety of eats and beverages. Proper ID is required for those wishing to purchase alcoholic drinks.
Planning the series wasn’t without its challenges – balancing band availability with the township calendar took careful coordination – but the result is a lineup that’s described as both fresh and familiar. In addition to the summer shows, residents can look forward to the Voorhees food truck and music festival on Saturday, Sept. 13; it will feature more than 20 food trucks and three live bands.
As always, the music festival and summer concerts are free, a township tradition.
“It’s about building memories,” Barone observed. “Many families have grown up with these concerts. Now we see those kids coming back with their own families.
“It’s a full-circle community experience.”
Summer concert attendees are reminded of a few park rules: no pets, no smoking or vaping and no alcohol brought in. The dog park will be closed for crowd safety. Township officials urge everyone to check www.voorheesnj.com or township social media for updates or weather-related changes.

As Barone puts it: “Bring your appetite, your dance moves and your neighbors. Let’s kick off summer with great music and even greater community spirit.”
