Contact Cape Atlantic was named one of 40 grant recipients by the Atlantic City Community Fund (ACCF) at the organization’s 2026 Grantee Appreciation Celebration, held recently in Atlantic City.
Founded in 1973 as a community hotline, Contact Cape Atlantic provides free telephone reassurance and community support to seniors, people with disabilities, and anyone who is lonely or living in isolation, connecting them to a friendly voice daily, at no cost.
The organization serves callers across New Jersey, not just Cape May and Atlantic counties, and makes more than 100,000 calls annually. Its mission is supported through donations, and community partners.
The grant will support Contact Cape Atlantic’s reassurance call program, which provides daily telephone check-ins to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and homebound or isolated residents throughout the region. Through these brief but meaningful calls, the organization works to ensure that vulnerable community members feel connected, supported, and cared for.
“A short daily call can mean the difference between someone feeling forgotten and someone feeling looked after,” said Natalia Serejko, executive director. “We are deeply grateful to the Atlantic City Community Fund for investing in work that doesn’t always make headlines but shows up for people every single day.”
The Atlantic City Community Fund’s 2026 Grantee Appreciation Celebration recognized 40 nonprofit organizations across Atlantic City for their work in strengthening neighborhoods, supporting families, empowering youth, and improving quality of life for residents throughout the community.
Contact Cape Atlantic looks forward to collaborating with fellow grantee organizations to further serve Atlantic City and the surrounding region. For more information, visit contactcapeatlantic.org or call 609-823-1850.
