Voters in Deptford Township went to the polls to vote on Nov. 4 to elect members of council and the board of education.
The Gloucester County Clerk’s Office has posted results from the election on its website that are unofficial until a vote-counting process that could take more than a week is complete.
Vote totals do not include late mail-in and provisional ballots; they are expected to be tallied at a later date.
Deptford Township Council
Eight candidates competed for four, three-year term seats on council. As of Nov. 5, incumbent Wayne Love leads with 2,828 votes, along with fellow incumbents Phil Schocklin, 2,786 votes, Bill Lamb, 2,782 votes, and Ken Barnshaw, 2,770 votes.
Behind them are Mary Wood, with 1,374 votes, David Aber, 1,339, Erik Anderson, 1,330, and Steven Marfia with 1,293.
There were 19 write-in votes.
Two candidates also vied for a one-year term. Leading as of Nov. 5 is incumbent Jim Noce, with 2,730 votes, followed by Martin McDonough, with 1,334 votes.
There were 10 write-in votes.
Deptford Board of Education
Seven candidates competed for three, three-year term seats on the board. Leading the way is Stacy Gray with 2,155 votes, followed by Linda Rosser at 2,013 votes and Juliah Davis at 1,656.
Walter “Butch” Berglund received 1,301 votes, Joseph Banning got 1,033, Sharnee Lotocki got 858 and Thomas Spencer Sr. got 540.
There were 37 write-in votes.
