Unofficial: Mantua election results

Voters in Mantua Township went to the polls on Nov. 4 and elected members for township committee and the school board.

The Gloucester County Clerk’s Office has posted results from the election on its website that are unofficial until a vote-counting process that could take more than a week is complete.

Vote totals do not include late mail-in and provisional ballots; they are expected to be tallied at a later date.

Mantua Township Committee

Four candidates competed for two, three-year term seats on the committee. Incumbent Eileen Lukens received 3,696 votes, followed by Jack Steen with 3,596 votes.

Candidate Sean Sepsey received 3,507 votes and Kristin Goschler got 3,479 votes. There were six write-in votes.

Mantua Township Board of Education

Four candidates ran for three, three-year term seats on the board. Incumbent Amy Gregg received 4,331 votes, followed by incumbent Erica Atkinson with 4,082 votes and candidate Karen Vick with 3,703. Shawnequa Carvalho received 3,521 votes.

There were 63 write-in votes.

A one-year, unexpired term was also up for grabs. Michael McGough Jr. received 5,094 votes against 20 write-in votes.

Cleaview Regional High School District Board of Education

An uncontested race took place for the board as two candidates vied for two, three-year term seats.

Bryan Quenzel got 5,470 votes while Jennifer Buckman got 5,082.

There were 83 write-in candidates.
