Officers located a white SUV with front-end damage parked on Rutland Court. After several attempts, officers awakened the homeowner and determined that the teens had taken their parents’ vehicle for a joyride, police said.

The Washington Township Building Inspector responded and deemed the residence structurally safe. Fortunately, no one was injured.

Anyone with additional information or property damage is asked to contact Officer Frank Cicalese at fjcicalese@pd.twp.washington.nj.us.
