Graduates earn FOP scholarships

Police Chief Patrick Gurcsik presented FOP Lodge 86 scholarships to graduates Olivia Medina and Vincent Martinelli.

Area seniors Vincent Martinelli and Olivia Medina recently received the 2025 Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Lodge 86 scholarships.

Each was awarded $750 for outstanding achievements, academic accomplishments, leadership and service to the community as Washington Township Police Explorers.

Medina is a 2025 graduate of Paul VI High School. She has been an active and dedicated member of the Police Explorer Program. She’s headed to Rowan College of South Jersey in the fall.

Martinelli is a 2025 graduate of Camden Catholic High School. He is also a committed Police Explorer who will attend Rowan this fall.

Township Police Chief Patrick Gurcsik presented the awards on behalf of the lodge.

“We are incredibly proud of Olivia and Vince and can’t wait to see what they accomplish next,” he said.
