“To me, it (membership) represents alignment with a legacy of service integrity, and people who genuinely care about making their community better,” said the Williamstown resident, who mentors young professionals as founder and president of SNJ Millennials | Next.

“I see it as both a recognition of the work I have already been committed to and a responsibility to continue showing up with intention, humility and impact.”

Known for his work in education, entrepreneurship and nonprofit leadership, Iglesia said the club’s mission also closely matches his own values. Losing his stepfather to cancer, then experiencing a family house fire, motivated him to expand more than ever.

“I have always been driven by service and the belief that leadership means giving back,” he noted. “The Lions Club’s mission mirrors my values around community engagement, mentorship and creating access to opportunity. The Lions are action oriented.

“They do the work, meet real needs, and create lasting impact at the local level.”

Club secretary Mimi Hadi first connected with Iglesia after learning of his work on social media.

“I invited him to collaborate with the Voorhees–Gibbsboro Lions Club on a professional networking event, “How to Empower Yourself in the Workplace,” which we hosted in June 2025,” Hadi recounted. “I was impressed with his professionalism, leadership skills and passion for community service. I knew he had the qualities we look for in Lion members.

“We look forward to being a part of his philanthropic journey and are thrilled he has included our Lions Club as part of that journey.”

Iglesia said becoming a Lion is a natural extension of the work he’s already been doing in the community with SNJ Millennials | Next, a nonprofit that introduces young professionals to career readiness, entrepreneurship and volunteerism.

It offers workshops, mixers and business resources while bridging the generation gap in a changing social market. Iglesia is also an inspirational speaker who shares insights on personal development.

“This induction provides another platform to deepen that work and collaborate with others who share the same commitment,” he explained. “I hope to be an active and reliable contributor, someone who brings energy, ideas and execution to the table.”

Iglesia also wants to support initiatives that serve families and youth, while leading by example.

“Service is not a role,” he maintained. “It’s a responsibility.”
