Children’s activities at Second Street Market. West Second Street. Visit the Second Street Market on the second Thursday of each month (April through September) for food trucks and live music. SATURDAY, May 10

Burlington Birding Bonanza. Long Bridge Park. 895 Deacon Road. 8 a.m. Participants will try to find as many species of birds as possible while traveling between Long Bridge Park, Rancocas State Park (Hainesport) and the Rancocas Pointe Trail. Dress for the weather and bring binoculars. Bring lunch and prepare to spend most of the day. Register online through the Burlington County website calendar.

Town-wide Yard Sale. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Your yard sale is held at the comfort of your own home. You decide what to sell and you decide your opening and closing times. This event will be held rain or shine. To sign up, visit the township website.

Sustainable Moorestown and Helpsy Clothing Drive. West Second Street. Got clothes, shoes, accessories or household linens you didn’t sell during the town-wide yard sale? Don’t drag them back to the attic or basement – drop them off at Town Hall between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Helpsy will make sure they get reused or recycled sustainably.

Symphony in C Presents: Meet the instruments: Percussion. Moorestown Library. 10:30 a.m. Symphony in C musicians will give presentations about the drums, xylophones, tambourines, toys and more, and will perform various short works that highlight these instruments. Hang around after the show to meet the musicians, ask questions and enjoy the instrument “petting zoo,” your chance to touch and hold some of the percussion instruments. This program is made possible through a grant from the D’Olier Foundation.

Concert: Classical Guitarist Keith Calmes with Mary Ann O’Meara. Moorestown Library. 2 p.m. Classical guitarist Keith Calmes and pianist Mary Anne O’Meara will present a recital of duets and solos. AAPI Month Craft. Moorestown Library. 1:30 p.m. The lucky cat, or maneki-neko, is a popular Japanese figurine believed to bring good luck, fortune and prosperity to its owner. During this program, instructors Ting Zhang and Zhen Guo from Cherry Hill Huaxia Chinese School will teach attendees how to make the bracelets. All materials will be provided. Complex PTSD Support Group and Book Club. Moorestown Library. 3 p.m. The goal of this group is to provide encouragement, support and education in a safe environment for any adult who is struggling to overcome the effects of suffering from extended Complex-PTSD. Fiction Writer’s Workshop. Moorestown Library. 6:30 p.m. The Fiction Writer’s Workshop is a workshop devoted to the craft of fiction writing, whether it be a short story or a novel. Two stories or excerpts, not to exceed 3,000 words, must be emailed to all workshop participants and the instructor before the workshop date. Two stories/excerpts will be discussed per class.
