This month’s article features the Behavioral Health services available through Inspira Health in southern New Jersey. Inspira offers various Behavioral Health treatment levels and locations. There are four inpatient behavioral health units. Bridgeton has two units, one is in Mannington, and one in Woodbury.

Inspira Health offers Intensive Outpatient and Partial Care for adults at the Bridgeton and Woodbury locations. Services are provided Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. depending on the program in which a client is enrolled. Some services are offered via telehealth.

Intensive Outpatient and Partial Care for children ages three to 17 are available at the Bridgeton, Elmer and Woodbury locations. Services are likewise provided Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. depending on the program, and some services are offered via telehealth.

Inspira Health offers outpatient therapy services and medication management at its wellness centers located in Bridgeton, Glassboro, and Woodbury. Service hours are from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. Services are in person and via telehealth.

Inspira also has two Autism Diagnostic centers, one located in Bridgeton and another located in Woodbury.

Inspira Behavioral Health accepts Medicaid, Medicare and most commercial insurance plans. If clients are not insured, Inspira offers a self-pay rate. Inspira financial counselors can assist clients to see if the client is eligible for financial assistance to help cover any out-of-pocket costs.

All Inspira therapists are licensed masters-level clinicians with various specialties/certifications, such as licensed alcohol and drug counselors, grief specialists, trauma specialists, perinatal specialists, brainspotting and EMDR-certified). If the client requires medication, the prescribers are APNs, who meet regularly with them for medication management.

Many of the therapists see clients into the evening hours and some have weekend hours. If a client is experiencing an emergency during off hours, call 988 or go to the nearest crisis center or Emergency Department.

The Cumberland County Mental Health and Addictions Board actively promotes awareness of stigma and the need for public education regarding mental health and addiction. The Board meets monthly, and the public is invited to attend. Refer to the meeting schedule on the Cumberland County website for meeting dates. The Board is also seeking new members.
