Each May, communities across the country take a moment to recognize the hard work and dedication of educators and healthcare workers during Teacher Appreciation Week and Nurses Appreciation Week. These national observances honor the vital roles teachers and nurses play in shaping lives, caring for others, and building stronger, healthier communities.
To mark the occasion, Flynn Group-Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar’s largest franchisee treats teachers and nurses to a well-deserved “bite of appreciation.” Through May 10, educators and healthcare professionals can receive a complimentary appetizer with the purchase of any entrée at participating Applebee’s locations across New Jersey.
The offer, part of a nationwide Teachers and Nurses Appreciation Week celebration, is Flynn Group’s way of saying thank you to the individuals who play essential roles in shaping communities and saving lives. To redeem the deal, guests must simply present a valid school or hospital ID and mention the promotion at the time of ordering. The offer is available for dine-in only.
“Gratitude and respect are the driving forces behind this initiative,” said Dan Krebsbach, president of Flynn Applebee’s. “Teachers and nurses are pillars of our communities—educators shape the future through their unwavering dedication to students, while nurses provide compassionate care that saves lives every day. Their work is challenging and often overwhelming, so we hope this offer allows them to feel recognized and valued for their incredible contributions to society.”
Locally, Applebee’s locations in Voorhees and Sicklerville are among the participating restaurants. Residents in these communities can take advantage of this offer by visiting their neighborhood Applebee’s and showing proper identification. These towns, along with others in South Jersey, are home to countless educators and nurses who serve with passion and care.
Other participating New Jersey locations include Atlantic City, Audubon, Cherry Hill, Deptford, Hammonton, Mays Landing, Mount Laurel, Pennsville, Somerdale, Somers Point, Swedesboro, Turnersville, Vineland, Westampton, and Williamstown.
“Sometimes it’s the little things—like a free meal—that remind us we’re seen and appreciated,” said Kaleek Bruce, a teacher at Veteran’s Memorial Family School. “It means a lot to know the community values what we do.”
