Preservation New Jersey has announced the 2025 list of the 10 most endangered historic places, cultural resources in the state that are at risk of being lost due to neglect, development pressures, lack of funding or natural threats. Two of them are in Moorestown.

Now in its 30th year, the 10-most program brings awareness to irreplaceable landmarks that reflect the cultural, architectural and social history of our communities. The sites were nominated by the public and selected by a panel of Preservation New Jersey board members based on historic significance, urgency of threat and community impact.

The 2025 10 list includes 202 and 210 Main St. in Moorestown; the Universal Building in Jersey City; the Boylan House in Bernardsville; the Cornelius Doremus House in Montville; and the Monmouth Boat Club in Redbank.

“These places matter,” said Paul Muir, president of Preservation New Jersey. “They tell the stories of who we are and where we’ve been. By bringing attention to these threatened sites, we hope to inspire action, partnerships and solutions that can save them.”
