Bird communication lecture. Moorestown Library. Senior Park Naturalist Jen Bulava will present current findings of new research that deepens our understanding of bird communication. Register via the Moorestown Library website calendar or call (856) 234-0333.

Hugh Campbell Collection: From the Vault. 150 High St. View paintings, sketches and drawings from Burlington County’s collection of works by American artist, Hugh H. Campbell. Much of his collection has been stored away, deep within the county’s archives. SATURDAY, March 29

Hugh Campbell Collection: From the Vault. 150 High St. View paintings, sketches and drawings from Burlington County’s collection of works by American artist, Hugh H. Campbell. Much of his collection has been stored away, deep within the county’s archives. This exhibit will grant visitors a unique opportunity to view rare and never seen before art. Visiting hours are from noon to 4 p.m.

Meet the instruments: Strings. Moorestown Library. 10:30 a.m. Attendees will learn about the instruments that make up the string section of the orchestra. Symphony in C musicians will give presentations about the violin, viola and cello, and will perform various short works that highlight those instruments. After the show, attendees can meet the musicians, ask questions and enjoy the instrument “petting zoo,” a chance to touch and hold some of the string instruments. This program is made possible through a grant from the D’Olier Foundation.

Women’s History Presentation: Mothers of Invention. Moorestown Library. Presenter Carol Simon Levin will portray Lillian Moller Gilbreth, motion study pioneer and “Cheaper by the Dozen” mother of 12. She’ll share stories of other overlooked women innovators, including many women of color. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Moorestown Library. SUNDAY, March 30

Mindfulness in Nature. 803 Smithville Road. Take this opportunity to unplug from the distractions of daily life and join like-minded individuals to interact with nature in meaningful ways. Participants will be guided through a variety of “nature therapy” techniques to enhance their mental, emotional and physical wellbeing. Each session will focus on a different theme in nature along with a movement activity, five-minute guided meditation, and the opportunity to journal your thoughts. Bring a beach towel to sit on and a journal to write in (extra items will be available). Be sure to wear walking shoes and comfortable clothes appropriate for the season. Spring Frog Walk. 803 Smithville Road. Over a dozen species of frogs call New Jersey home, several of which can be found in our parks. Participants will learn species identification, amphibian life history characteristics, and ongoing conservation efforts. Register via the county website calendar.

The Lenola Auxiliary’s 2025 spring craft and vendor show fundraiser will be held at The Venue at Lenola from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be handmade items and crafts, vendors and more. South Jersey Legal Services: Wills and Power of Attorney. South Jersey Legal Services is a nonprofit law firm whose mission is to provide high quality civil legal services to low-income residents of Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Monmouth, Ocean and Salem Counties. This program will provide information on free services and projects, as well as a general legal presentation on wills, powers of attorney and living wills. Saving Historic Moorestown: What Style is It? Colonial Period – 1600 to 1820. Moorestown Library. The Moorestown Improvement Association will hold their annual meeting at the Community House at 7 p.m. This program will focus on historical preservation in town. Light refreshments will be served.

SUNDAY, April 6

Human Library. The Moorestown Library, MooreUnity and the Friends of the Moorestown Library will host the second annual Human Library. The Human Library is a library of people. Every Human Book represents a group in our society that is often subjected to prejudice, stigmatization or discrimination because of their lifestyle, diagnosis, belief, disability, social status, ethnic origin, etc. Readers will borrow human beings serving as open books and have conversations they would not normally have access to. Historical Talk: The Day the Revolution Started. Moorestown Library. Everyone knows that the American Revolution began with the Battle of Lexington and Concord which occurred on April 19, 1775, but when did the people of the Delaware Valley get the news about ‘the shot heard round the world’? This program will feature Matt Skic, curator of the Museum of the American Revolution, and is part of the Historical Society of Moorestown’s New Jersey History Speaks Lecture Series.
