The Medford Township Police Department has two drones it uses to enhance public safety and operational effectiveness. The unmanned aircraft systems support a wide range of functions, including situational awareness, search-and-rescue missions, tactical response to hostage or barricade incidents, traffic incident management and crime scene documentation. The department’s goal is to ensure that its officers are thoroughly trained in their use.
