Proceeds from the Hello Spring Craft Fair will benefit charities run by the Incarnation Angels, part of the Church of Incarnation.

The Church of the Incarnation will open the spring season with a craft air on Saturday, March 21, at the church’s Kernan Center behind its main building.

The 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. event is sponsored by the Incarnation Angels, a women’s group at the church that helps others through its faith. According to Peg Wilson, the fair’s organizer and a member of the Angels, there will be more than 50 vendors on hand, with about 200 people expected to attend.

The angels are also providing food.

“There’s everything from jewelry makers and crafters to bakers and more,” said Wilson of the fair. “There’s something for just about everyone, and it provides variety to those who come. The first one took place in the fall of 2018, and it’s been consistent for the past seven years, except for the year of the pandemic.”

Each vendor will be required to donate to a basket raffle and attendees will have the chance to win one of 50 baskets. The drawing will take place at 1:30; participants need not be on hand to win.

“This is the biggest draw of the event,” noted Wilson. “There’s two a year since, we do a craft fair in both the spring and fall.”

With the exception of vendor purchases, the event is free and open to the public. Potential vendors can contact Wilson through email at CladdaghEEGroup@gmail.com. (Wilson advises being aware of potential scams involving vendors hoping to get in touch with her.)

Proceeds of the fair will go to charities run by the Incarnation Angels.

“We donate to a lot of different charities,” Wilson explained. “The proceeds will help with the food pantry we have here at the church and we donate to a nearby charity for women.”
