At its first meeting of the year, the Haddonfield Zoning Board unanimously appointed Wayne Partenheimer and Steve Sweet, respectively, chair and vice chair.

Partenheimer announced during the session that he will retire at the end of his term, citing an upcoming move.

“This will be my last year, because my term ends a year from May, so I will not be reappointed at my request because I’ll be moving out of town,” he said. “Just thought I’d give my 18-months’ notice.”

A seven-year member of the board, Partenheimer became vice chair in 2021 and has served as chair since 2023.

Kirsty Brockett was reappointed the board’s recording secretary, and both Partenheimer and the unanimously appointed board solicitor, Matthew Wieliczko, thanked her for her work.

“She does a great job and communicating with our offices,” Wieliczko said. “Lot of work done behind the scenes getting ready, and then after the fact, and she is great at what she does.”

Wieliczko replied that he appreciates the zoning board’s support.

“I appreciate the confidence,” he noted. “I enjoy the work. I enjoy the applicants and a great board. I take the job seriously and I appreciate all the support. I’m always here for anybody. And good, bad or indifferent, you like what I’m doing, great, you don’t, please tell me. I’ll try to address it in some way.”

Jeremy Noll of Environmental Resolutions Inc. was again chosen board engineer; he was represented at the meeting by Paul Dezii, along with another company employee, Mary Beth Straguzzi.

The board made the Retrospect and Courier-Post newspapers its official 2026 publications and approved meeting dates for the new year.

CME Associates was unanimously chosen to represent the board as conflict engineer and Marmero Law will remain conflict solicitor. A specific individual for each position has yet to be named.
