The Haddonfield 65 Club will host a luncheon to commmemorate the 82nd anniversary of the Battleship New Jersey’s christening on Thursday, Dec. 5. The ship was officially launched from Camden on the first anniversary of Pearl Harbor, in December of 1942.
Lunch begins at noon and will be followed by a discussion at 1:30 p.m. with staff of the Battleship New Jersey Museum on the Camden waterfront.
The Haddonfield 65 Club is open to males in the borough, regardless of age, and guests are always welcome. Club members broaden friendships, renew old acquaintances, and take part in civic and social activities.
The club meets at 110 Rhoads Ave. For more information, contact Chuck Kanupke at (856) 795-5810.
