Palmyra: Election results

Voters in Palmyra Borough went to the polls on Nov. 5 and elected members for borough council and school board of education.

The Burlington County Clerk’s Office has posted results from the election on its website, all of which are unofficial until a vote-counting process that could take more than a week is complete.

Vote totals do not include late mail-in and provisional ballots; they are expected to be tallied at a later date.

Palmyra Borough Council

Two candidates ran for two council seats in an uncontested race. As of Nov. 7, Democratic incumbent Timothy S. Howard, who is currently serving as council president, has received 2,199 votes and Democratic newcomer Ladonna De’Souza has received 2,147 votes. There are 84 personal choice votes.

Palmyra Borough Board of Education

Three incumbents ran for the three, three-year board seats in an uncontested race. As of Nov. 7, Erica Campbell has received the most votes with 2,419 followed by James Dickinson with 2,316 votes and Amy Austin with 2,282 votes.

There are 99 personal choice votes.
