Looking for a new family companion and friend? Consider adopting from the Burlington County Animal Shelter, at Academy Drive in Westampton.

Among the adoptable pets is Lily, a 6-year-old Pit Bull terrier mix who was brought to the shelter as a stray in 2024. She recently completed training by the B.A.R.K Institute, which donated its services to help longtime shelter dogs get adopted. She knows all basic commands, is crate trained and walks beautifully on a leash.

Shelter staff and volunteers say Lily is extremely sweet and loveable and would love to go to an active family with a fenced yard. Like all pets at the shelter, she is fixed, microchipped and up to date on all her core vaccinations. As an extra incentive to give Lily a chance, her adoption fee will be waived.

For more on adopting Lily, contact the shelter at (609) 265-5376. Potential adopters can also search for more pets from the shelter online at https://www.co.burlington.nj.us/1446/Available-for-Adoption.
