The Burlington County Commissioners have appointed the law firm Connell Foley LLP as an independent special counsel to review the 2024 election.

The firm will report to county commissioners its findings and recommendations for improvements, a response to unacceptable lines and wait times reported at county polling locations on Election Day. But the review will look at all aspects of the election, including the deployment of new voting machines, the locations and makeup of voting districts and poll worker training and management.

Appointing an independent counsel to conduct the election review ensures impartial findings and recommendations in a timely manner, according to the commissioners.

Headquartered in Roseland, Connell Foley is one of the largest law firms in the state.
