Around Town

April 24 – American Red Cross Blood Drive – 9 a.m. – 100 Townsend Ave.

American Red Cross will hold a blood drive at Virtua Berlin from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. In April, the American Red Cross asks people to keep patients top of mind by making an appointment to give blood or platelets. All who come to give through April 20 will receive a $15 e-gift card to a choice of merchant. See RedCrossBlood.org/Hope for details.

April 25 – Free Rabies Clinic – 9 a.m. – Borough Hall.

A free rabies clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. As a reminder all dogs and cats must be registered with the borough by April 30.

April 27 – Planning Board Special Meeting – 7 p.m. – Municipal Building

At the Library

Ongoing – Barbecue Basket Raffle

The Friends of the Marie Fleche Memorial Library are selling raffle tickets for a Barbeque Basket. Stop by the library during our normal business hours to purchase some tickets. Ticket prices are $1 each or 6 for $5.00. The drawing will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026 during the Mother’s Day Tea. Proceeds from these tickets help support the library.

April 15, April 22 – Pinochle – 5:15 p.m.

Make new friends and add fun to your week by playing Pinochle at Marie Fleche Library. The group meets every Wednesday evening from 5:15 – 8 PM at the library. Some experience to “expert” players welcome!

April 15 – Come-A-Stitchin’ 2026 – 6:30 p.m.

Are you interested in getting together with others as they work on their own crochet, knitting or needlework projects?  Then join the Come-A-Stitchin’ group!!  They meet every 3rd Wednesday evening of the month at our library.

April 16, April 23 – Story Hour – 10:30 a.m.

Enjoy listening to stories and doing a craft.  Registration and confirmation required. Ages: 2 1/2 to 5 years of age  

  • April 18 – Lego Club – Noon
April 18 – Crochet Club – 12:30 p.m.

Are you interested in learning how to crochet? Crochet classes will be given to any adult interested in learning how to crochet. The classes are held on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month. Children ages 12 on up are also welcome to participate.  Please bring your own materials: size G or H hooks and one skein of plain yarn…Registration is required.

  • April 21 – Reading to Rabbits – 5:30 p.m.
April 22 – Tiny Tots – 10:30 a.m.

This is your special time to meet other children your age to enjoy games, stories and crafts geared especially for you! 18 months to 3 years of age.
