The facility is at 1601 Union Landing Road. Acceptable items for dropoff include paints, motor oil, antifreeze, electronics, televisions, brush and branches, metal items, automobile and small truck tires, car batteries and large trash items. Stop by the library for some relaxing fun! There will be board games available as well as a craft.
April 9 – Tai Chi – 10:30 a.m.
Learn and practice the principles of Tai Chi, an ancient Chinese martial art, as you engage in gentle exercise and relaxation. This class will focus on mental and muscular release, essential for good posture and continuous whole-body movement. We begin the class with a series of stretching exercises to open and elasticize the body before turning to the Tai Chi form itself.

What makes a potted flower even more beautiful? A painted pot! Stop by the library to decorate a flower pot and plant some seeds.

This service is available on a drop-in basis to connect you with the best assistance program for your needs, support you through an online application or help you find the right contact information for a local community program.
Staff members from the 8th Legislative District will also be on hand to answer questions and provide assistance.

Join this workshop to explore a range of living options, including independent and assisted living communities, 50+ communities, downsizing and aging in your current home. You’ll gain valuable insights into these choices and learn key factors to consider as you plan for the next chapter.

April 14 – Steeped in History: Painting with Tea – 2 p.m.
As we continue celebrating our upcoming 250th Anniversary, we are excited to launch this special guided painting class. In tribute to the political triumph achieved by the Colonists at the Boston Tea Party, participants will create artwork using a unique medium—a mixture of real brewed tea. This special mixture will produce a sepia-toned “paint” to help commemorate our success in the harbor.
Get ready to blend creativity with storytelling, offering participants the opportunity to explore history through art. Attendees will leave with a beautiful tea-painted artwork, a newfound appreciation for this unique art form and a meaningful souvenir celebrating our country’s history.

Join us in our monthly gathering of Special Needs Enrichment Hour! Together we will gather for different activities such as reading, crafting and singing along to our favorite songs. Get ready to have fun in a safe and supportive environment and make friends together! This program is designed to promote social skills and expand the creative and learning activities for adults 18+ with special needs.
