Township welcomes four new officers

Sixty-eight new officers celebrated a major milestone on Dec. 4 when they graduated from the 92nd Basic Police Recruit Class of the Camden County College Police Academy.

The ceremony, held at the Dennis Flyer Theater on the Blackwood campus, recognized the dedication and hard work of recruits from across the region. Four of the new officers from the class will now be part of the Voorhees police department.

The graduating class represents a wide range of local law-enforcement agencies, with five recruits joining the Camden County Police. In a keynote address, Gloucester Township Police Chief Anthony Minosse congratulated the new officers and offered guidance as they embark on their careers.

“These new officers have demonstrated incredible discipline and dedication throughout the course of their training,” noted Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli Jr. “The board of commissioners looks forward to seeing the positive impact they will have on communities throughout our region.”

A cherished tradition of the academy was observed during the ceremony: badge-pinning. Many recruits were pinned into their new profession by a family member who is currently serving or has retired from law enforcement.

Officers Justyna Zieba, Jacob Brennan, George Duffield Jr. and Matthew Kaczorowski successfully completed the rigorous training program. The academy is known for producing highly trained officers ready to meet the challenges of modern policing.

“Congratulations to officer Justyna Zieba, officer Jacob Brennan, officer George Duffield Jr. and officer Matthew Kaczorowski on their graduation from Camden County Police Academy Class 92nd,” Voorhees police said in a statement.

“We are excited to welcome them to the patrol division, where they will begin their field-training program and start their careers serving the Voorhees community.”

The new officers will work closely with experienced officers to gain hands-on experience.
