Juvenile charged in motor vehicle thefts

A 15-year-old male was charged with three counts of motor-vehicle theft following a series of stolen cars in the Sicklerville area, according to Gloucester Township Police.

At approximately 8:25 p.m. on Dec. 3, officers were dispatched to the Revere Run neighborhood after a motor vehicle theft was reported. Officers attempted to stop the juvenile, who was on foot, but he fled. He was apprehended shortly after and found in possession of items consistent with burglary and vehicle theft.

The suspect was also charged with three counts of criminal mischief, possession of burglary tools and resisting arrest by flight. Three stolen vehicles were recovered and returned to their owners, police said.

Residents are urged to remain vigilant, lock their vehicles, remove key fobs and report any unusual activity.
