One person died and two were injured in a two-vehicle crash in front of Washington Township High School on Nov. 24.
Police and other first responders responded to the crash at approximately 5:07 p.m. at the intersection of Hurffville-Crosskeys and Chapel Heights roads.
According to a preliminary investigation, a 48-year-old female from Franklinville driving a 2020 Nissan Sentra was southbound on Hurffville-Crosskeys Road when her vehicle collided with the rear of a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse driven by a 61-year-old female from Egg Harbor Township.
A 46-year-old male passenger from Philadelphia in the Sentra was unconscious and unresponsive at the scene. He was transported to Jefferson Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said. The vehicle’s driver was transported to Cooper University Hospital with neck and back pain. The driver of the Traverse was transported to Jefferson Hospital, also with neck pain.
Southbound Hurffville-Crosskeys Road was closed for about two hours while the crash was investigated. Criminal charges are pending as the investigation continues.
