Blood Center

American Red Cross Blood Donation Center – Southern New Jersey, 5029 U.S. 130, Suite 450, Delran

Tuesday and Wednesday: 11:45 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Thursday: 10:15 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Saturday: 7:15 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

The American Red Cross urges donors to keep the blood supply top of mind and help save lives by making an appointment to give blood or platelets – especially those with types O and B negative. All who come to give blood through Dec. 7 will score an exclusive pair of Red Cross x PAC-MAN socks, while supplies last. Those who give blood or platelets during the same time frame can snag a custom Red Cross x PAC-MAN GASHAPON, while they last. *Burlington County Resource Recovery Complex, 22000 Burlington Columbus Road, Florence, is accepting plastic “waffle board” yard signs for recycling. Drop off signs and frames Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 7 a.m. to noon.

New, unwrapped toys can be placed in the red bin near the Court Office at the Delran Township Municipal Building until Friday, Dec. 12th for the county’s Holiday Toy Drive. Stop at the Court Office window for a free sandwich coupon from Jersey Mike’s and to receive tickets for our raffle that will be held in December. Saturday, Dec. 13

State Sen. Troy Singleton will partner with Wreaths Across America for his December “Serve with Senator Singleton” event. The monthly community service event will be held on Saturday, December 13th from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Beverly National Cemetery, 916 Bridgeboro Road, Beverly, NJ 08010.

The senator and a group of volunteers will help Wreaths Across America lay wreaths. Anyone interested in volunteering can sign-up on the Senator’s website: https://www.troysingleton.com/wreaths2025

Riverfront Seniors

Riverfront Seniors, formerly Palmyra Seniors, is a non-profit, non-partisan organization for persons 55 years or over who reside in Burlington County and surrounding areas. Members from area towns meet at the Palmyra Community Center each month September to June. Meetings are held on the first and third Wednesdays. Doors open to the members at 9 a.m., the meeting starts at 10 a.m., and at 11 a.m., the program is presented. On first and third Fridays, members can enjoy Bingo, lunch and a movie at the community center. Anyone may attend one meeting free to meet everyone. Delran Green Team

Delran Green Team meets the second Wednesday of the month at 7:30 in the Delran Municipal Building, 900 S. Chester Ave.

Delran Seniors Club

The Delran Seniors Club is a social club open to anyone 55+ from Delran and neighboring towns. Membership is $10 annually, with monthly meetings at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Bridgeboro Road in Delran.

The meetings begin at 1 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month except for December due to the club’s annual Christmas Party scheduled for Dec. 10 from noon to 5 p.m. A complete lunch is available at every meeting for $10 at sign in. 

The club attempts to have speakers at each meeting to bring information relevant to “our lives and needs.”

Members enjoy two day trips a year supported by Delran Township, a fall trip and spring trip. For 2026, the spring excursion is to the Dutch Apple Dinner Theater for an afternoon production of “OKLAHOMA” and in the fall, the trip is to the Surflight on LBI to see Vanities with lunch at the Waterfront Cafe.

December is the organization’s annual Christmas Party (no meeting in December) the usual cost for Delran resident members is $10 and non resident/non members is $15. Dinner is a buffet meal provided by Due Amici of Cinnaminson, a DJ, and an open bar( wine, beer, soda). Other drinks will be available at a cost determined by the bartender.

There is an attempt to have speakers at each meeting to bring us information relevant to our lives and needs. In September, they had a representative from the Department of Aging discuss all the programs that are available to residents of New Jersey. Their phone number is 609-265-5069 and the website is www.co.burlington.nj.us/aging. This past November meeting featured the Red Cross teaching us all the new CPR techniques.

Delran Historical Society

The Delran Historical Society meets on the third Tuesday of the month in these five months, January, March, May, September and November at the Delran Township Municipal Building located at 900 Chester Ave. The meetings are held in Community Room 3 and start at 7 p.m. We frequently invite speakers to address the membership. The Kindness Cupboard is collecting dry goods and non-perishable items for people in need. Donations can be placed in the bin in the lobby of the municipal building.
