Unofficial: Palmyra election results

Voters in Palmyra Borough went to the polls on Nov. 4 and elected members for council and the school board.

The Burlington County Clerk’s Office has posted results from the election on its website that are unofficial until a vote-counting process that could take more than a week is complete.

Vote totals do not include late mail-in and provisional ballots; they are expected to be tallied at a later date.

Palmyra Borough Council

There were a number of seats open on the council.

Four candidates – Republicans Thomas Locke and Alexandra Jenkins and Democratic incumbents Natashia Latimore and John Liebe – vied for two, three-year term seats.

As of Nov. 5, Liebe, with 1,868 votes, and Latimore, with 1,811 votes, lead. Locke and Jenkins received 993 and 878 votes, respectively.

There are four write-in votes.

Two candidates – Republican and former mayor Michelle Arnold and Democratic incumbent Richard Dreby – vied for a two-year unexpired term seat.

As of Nov. 5, Dreby has 1,972 votes and Arnold has 830.

There are six write-in votes.

Two candidates – Republican Robert Zoll and Democratic incumbent Sean O’Connell – vied for a one-year unexpired term seat.

As of Nov. 5, O’Connell has received 1,949 votes and Zoll has 820.

There are three write-in votes.

Palmyra Board of Education

The general election race for the three, three-year term open seats on the board was uncontested.

Cara L. Broadbelt, Erika Starr Celley and Kate Allen-Yoakum were running for reelection.

As of Nov. 5, Celley has received 2,224 votes, Broadbelt has 2,175 and Allen-Yoakum has 2,147.
