Marlton will host a blood drive on Thursday, Nov. 13, from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Blue Barn Recreation Center on Tuckerton Road.

The American Red Cross urges donors to give blood or platelets now to help curb a fall drop in donor turnout. Donors of all blood types and those giving platelets are asked to book a time to donate at a Red Cross blood donation center or community blood drive through the organization’s app and website.

There is currently an urgent need for donations, especially Type O. It is estimated that someone in the U.S. needs blood every two seconds, while only 3% of age-eligible individuals donate yearly.
