Wednesday, Oct. 22

Gentle Chair Yoga: For adults. 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Evesham Library. this gentle yoga session encourages participants to relax their mind, move their body and increase their flexibility while using a chair for support. This class is ideal for those who feel stiffness or have limited mobility. This program is presented by a certified yoga instructor, who has been teaching since 2013. Intro to Excel: For ages 18 years and up. 2 to 4 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Get started with Microsoft Excel. Students will learn the basics of Excel, from getting familiar with the interface to using pre-made templates to setting up spreadsheets with simple functions and visual styling. Alternatives to Excel, as well as how to set up and maintain a personal home budget, will also be covered. Registration is required at www.bclsnj.bibliocommons.com.

Medicare with Confidence: For adult seniors. 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Evesham Library. This educational seminar is to educate senior residents on Medicare basics, important terminology, enrollment periods, plans available and cost assistance. Medicare is not one-size-fits-all. Attending this seminar will allow participants to understand “Medicare with Confidence.” This program is presented by Steven Bornfreund, a licensed insurance agent who is certified with Medicare. Thursday, Oct. 23

LEGO Challenge: For ages 5 to 12 years. 3 to 8 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Residents are invited to take on a LEGO® building challenge. The library will provide the prompts, participants will provide the creativity. Children will be given a specific theme or goal to create a project either separately or together. Building with LEGO supports skill building and problem solving for children. All LEGO bricks will be provided by the library, participants should not bring their LEGO bricks from home.

Friday, Oct. 24

Stay & Play: For ages 3 to 5 years. 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Evesham Library. Residents are invited drop in for a special play time for children and their caregivers to socialize and explore. Enjoy some books, sensory toys, basketball, scavenger hunts, Duplos, crafts, and more. Stay & Play will end with a cleanup time and bubbles. No registration required.

Sunday, Oct. 26

The Art of Chinese Knotting: For ages 10 to 15 years. 1 to 3 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Young residents are invited to learn about the traditional art of Chinese knotting and create their own piece under the guidance of an experienced artist. Residents may sign up with friends or meet new ones and see what unique works of art each other makes using this ancient technique. This month the class will be crafting jewelry featuring the popular character Chi from Chi’s “Sweet Home” and “Chi’s Sweet Adventure.”

This program is presented by Ms. Ting, a craft teacher at Cherry Hill Huaxia Chinese School since 2018. Registration is required at www.bclsnj.bibliocommons.com.

Monday, Oct. 27

Cozy Crochet: For ages 13 to 16 years. 5 to 6 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Residents are invited to bring a current project and get cozy with fellow crocheters or start a new project from the library’s pattern selectionBeginners are welcome and can learn basic stitches to get started on a project. Tuesday, Oct. 28

Community & Conversation: For adults. 2 to 4 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Residents are invited to come join other adults for a relaxing afternoon of conversation and community. This month the focus will be on book chat and coloring. Residents are invited to join the library staff for a casual book share. The library will have coloring books, pencils and markers out to enjoy while chatting. Registration is required at www.bclsnj.bibliocommons.com.

Teen Tuesday: For ages 13 to 15 years. 6 to 7 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Teen residents are invited to join this monthly teen drop-in time where they can hang out with other teens, play board games, do a craft, listen to music or just relax. This month, the class will make Halloween-themed buttons, play the board game Tapple, and have some fun with Tarot cards. Registration is required at www.bclsnj.bibliocommons.com.
