Election: Candidate seeks third term on committee

Jackie Fetbroyt is running unopposed for another term on the Voorhees Township Committee in the election on Nov. 4.

All election candidates were asked to complete a questionnaire. Answers have been lightly edited for space.

Name: Jackie Fetbroyt

Age: 46

Years in township/borough: Born in Voorhees, resident for more than 13 years.

Family: Husband Dan and two sons, Lucas, and Evan.

School and degree: BA in Political Science/International Politics and English from Penn State; JD from Rutgers–Camden School of Law.

Profession: Attorney

Community involvement: Volunteer roles include Director of Public Safety, liaison to the Art Commission, member of the Cultural and Diversity Committee and Environmental Commission. Active with the economic development and recreation committees, and the Voorhees Business Association for nearly 15 years. Participate in school and sports activities and fundraisers as a parent.

Why are you running for reelection?
To continue advancing important projects in our township, including collaborating with the former Echelon Mall’s owner to ensure its redevelopment benefits our community. With recent leadership changes across several departments, I provide continuity, consistency and oversight.

One area of focus if elected:
My focus is communication. I take pride in being accessible and approachable, fostering open and transparent dialogue among township departments, public safety, schools and neighboring towns. By working together, we can enhance resident satisfaction, implement strategies for shared solutions, reduce redundancies, increase efficiencies and improve services across our community.
