Deptford council and the township basketball association’s summer league teamed on July 28 for the Jericho Community BBQ. Staff and volunteers provided food and refreshments to residents for a free night out in the neighborhood. The parks and recreation department organized the event and members of the police department and council were on hand to talk to residents. The players from the summer league also competed in exhibition matches to test their skills and provide entertainment.
