The region has recently seen an uptick in vehicle burglaries, according to law enforcement, and it does appear many of the vehicles were left unlocked and, in several cases, the keys or fobs were left inside. Deptford police are ramping up patrols in the neighborhoods during the overnight hours, but there are a number of steps residents can take to decrease the burglaries. Lock your vehicles, remove the keys or fobs, turn on your porch light, report suspicious activity and confirm that CCTV cameras are functioning.
