Keneva Farm will be the setting for the IDEA Board’s second annual PrideFest on Saturday.

The Harrison Township Inclusion, Diversity and Equity Advisory (IDEA) Board is teaming with Salem County Pride+ – a nonprofit that supports LGBTQ+ individuals – to host the second annual PrideFest on Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. at the Safe Haven at Keneva Farm in Mullica Hill.

The goal of the event is to raise the spirits of and uplift the LGBTQ+ community and its allies with a day that will celebrate who they are and provide an affirming space for people of all ages, abilities and identities. The first event was held in response to the vandaliztion of a township Pride banner and was meant to show that one act does not represent the community as a whole.

“With last year’s PrideFest drawing hundreds and sparking incredible community response, we knew we had to go bigger this year,” said Lydia DelRosso, volunteer chair for PrideFest 2025. “We’re beyond excited to partner with Safe Haven and Salem County Pride+ to create a joyful, empowering experience that celebrates who we are – together.”

Preceding the event will be the Chase the Rainbow 3K color trail run at 11 a.m. that will offer a look at the farm’s 65 acres. Runners can register online beforehand at eventbrite.com. Prices vary based on age; those 5 and under can participate for free.

The actual festival is also free and will feature a live musical performance from Laura Cheadle and the Girls, as well as comic relief from emcee Betty J. Smithsonian. Activities for families will include animal encounters and a vendor village with face painting, art projects and more.

All proceeds from the event will go toward Salem County Pride+ and Safe Haven in their respective missions to provide inclusivity for all and to help animals. Those interested in making a donation can do so on the event’s page at zeffy.com.

“Last year, small donations between $10 and $100 made our first annual event possible,” said IDEA chair Sarah Zuba, “and we are excited to see the same grassroots support this year.”
