Spartan unity night draws more than 200

Deptford Middle School hosted its first Spartan unity night on March 27, drawing more than 200 community members, according to the school district.

The event included food, games and performances from a variety of cultures sponsored by the Deptford Education Association and the middle-school PTA. Also represented were BookSmiles; Keenan Transportation Moving and Storage; the township library; the middle-school choir; and a Mister Softee truck.


The district expressed thanks on Facebook to student and staff volunteers and event organizers Jesse Aquino, Tamresa Betz, Stephen Hart, Heather Imhof, Vanessa LaTorre, Gloria Micale and Johnathan Maxson.
