Burlington County Commissioner Director Dr. Felicia Hopson and Commissioner Deputy Director Allison Eckel announced nominations for the 2025 Outstanding Women of Burlington County Awards are now open.

The commissioners and the Burlington County Women’s Advisory Council will honor the outstanding contributions and leadership of women in the county. This year’s awards will honor eight women in the following categories: business, community service, diversity/inclusion, education, health care, leadership, law and public safety/military.

Applications will be accepted until the close of business on Monday, June 2.

The awards are sponsored by the Women’s Advisory Council and the Burington County Board of Commissioners.

“Burlington County has an incredibly rich history of women leaders, trailblazers and achievers, and we are excited to continue the tradition of recognizing some of our present day women leaders for their accomplishments and service,” said Hopson, who is a liaison to the Women’s Advisory Council.

The commissioners and council are looking for nominations for Burlington County women who have made significant contributions in their chosen field and who have demonstrated their support for women in their communities. The nominees may have acted as mentors, role models or advocates for other women.

“Women in our county continue to excel in every field and we are proud to celebrate them and their achievements,” said Eckel, who is also a liaison to the Women’s Advisory Council. “Now more than ever, we need to celebrate women and their accomplishments. By recognizing them, we hope to inspire more women to take on leadership roles or become more deeply engaged in our communities.”

Nomination forms are available online at https://burlingtoncountynj.formstack.com/forms/outstandingwomen2025. Questions can be emailed to womenscouncil@co.burlington.nj.us.

Winners will be honored at the annual Outstanding Women Awards Banquet in September.
