Amy Julia Becker will be the keynote speaker at a conference on Feb. 1 at First Presbyterian Church of Haddonfield.


Author and podcaster Amy Julia Becker helps people re-imagine the good life through her writing and talks on disability, faith, and culture.

Becker will be the keynote speaker for a conference open to the public at First Presbyterian Church of Haddonfield on Saturday, Feb. 1, at 9 a.m. Her speech is titled “Belonging and Mattering: Creating a Meaningful and Manageable Plan for a Good Future.”

Becker is the author of “To Be Made Well,” “White Picket Fences,” “Small Talk,” and “A Good and Perfect Gift.” She is a guest opinion writer for national publications and hosts the “Reimagining the Good Life” podcast. Her workshop has helped families shift mindsets about disability, build a support team and create an actionable plan for their futures.

The Connecticut resident is a graduate of Princeton University and Princeton Theological Seminary. The borough conference is made possible by an Innovation Grant from the Presbyterian Church (USA)’s Synod of the Northeast.

A question-and-answer session will follow Becker’s address. There is parking available in a lot behind the church that can be accessed from Chestnut Street. Street parking at 20 Kings Highway East in front of the church is also available.
