The 2024 Big Sister of the Year, Priscilla McCoy, and Little Brianna from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland & Salem Counties, recently performed in the 98th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

In celebration of a multi-year partnership between BBBS and Macy’s, McCoy and Brianna, both of Vineland, joined the parade to the call of “Let’s Have a Parade,” the iconic phrase that has signaled the start of every Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade since 1924.

“We are incredibly proud of Priscilla and Brianna for representing Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland and Salem Counties in such a remarkable way,” said Donna Bennett, president and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland and Salem Counties. “To be part of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we are thrilled they will showcase the joy and strength of our mentorships for the world to see!”

As BBBS made a return appearance in this year’s parade, members from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland and Salem Counties performed on the Macy’s Winter Wonderland in Central Park float. For this year’s parade, Macy’s invited 20 Bigs and Littles—selected from an extensive talent search—to join Macy’s colleagues and singer Sebastián Yatra as they took center stage and traveled through New York City on Thanksgiving morning to spread joy and cheer to live spectators and viewers nationwide.
