The Rowan College of South Jersey–Cumberland (RCSJ) campus bands will showcase their musical talents at this year’s annual Holiday Campus Concert on Wednesday, December 11. This celebratory program, which is free to the public, will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the legendary Guaracini Center.

The College’s Jazz Band and Wind Symphony will perform a repertoire of seasonal favorites at this year’s holiday concert.

“The holiday season concerts are always the highlight of every performance year,” said Joseph Akinskas, adjunct professor, campus band director, RCSJ.

As the cold winds of winter creep up in, concertgoers will feel warm and tingly inside while listening to the jazz band’s interpretation of classic holiday tunes like “Feliz Navidad” and “Santa Baby.” The wind symphony will help to elevate the festive atmosphere by performing songs like “An Appalachian Carol Festival,” “Festive Sounds of Hannukah,” and perennial holiday favorite, “A Christmas Festival,” by Leroy Anderson.
The Cumberland campus bands will continue their tradition of spreading holiday cheer throughout the area this holiday season.

“We appreciate having another opportunity to participate in the city of Vineland’s Olde Fashioned Christmas on the Ave with a December 7 performance in the Landis Theater to kick off the holiday season,” said Akinskas.

The community is also invited to attend the December 18 annual ‘Shopping Concert’ at the Cumberland Mall at 7 p.m.
