Resident expresses concern about lack of voting machines

I’m writing to express my concern about the lack of voting machines that were in place at the Palmyra Community Center on November 5th for the Elections that day. When my wife and I arrived, the waiting lines extended down the block. We stood in line for two and a half hours in order to vote. My concern is for the number of elderly and/or handicapped individuals I watched, who were unable to endure a wait that long.

We were told that four machines had arrived instead of the normal seven.

I do want to compliment the Poll workers who were trying to accommodate voters as best they could. Still, in the over 10 years we have lived here, I have never seen such a fiasco.

I would like to know why something like this was allowed to happen, and exactly who was responsible.
