Moorestown’s Citizen of the Year Award recognizes a resident, who – with varied voluntary community- service activities – has significantly contributed to the quality of life for both the community and its citizens.
Nominations are now open. The award is announced annually by the Moorestown Service Club Council and its three Rotary clubs. Nomination forms are available at the Community House or can be completed online at www.moorestownrotary.org/stories/citizen-of-the-year-nominations.

All nominations must be submitted to the council by Monday, Dec. 2, via mail to Moorestown Community House, 16 E. Main St., attention chair SCC ’24-25; or by email to info@thecommunityhouse.org or john@omearas.net.
Factors to be considered for nominations:
- Although service activities are not geographically limited to Moorestown, the nominee must be or have been a resident of the township.
- Community service through individual volunteer effort and/or participation in group activities, unrelated to nominee’s employment
- Contributions through public service in elective or appointed positions at the local county, state or federal levels
- Multiple and varied volunteer efforts, including services that help bring the community and its citizens closer together
- Honors, awards and citations that recognize a nominee’s contributions to the community
