Voters in Southampton Township went to the polls on Nov. 5 and elected members for township committee and school board of education.
The Burlington County Clerk’s Office has posted results from the election on its website, all of which are unofficial until a vote-counting process that could take more than a week is complete.
Vote totals do not include late mail-in and provisional ballots; they are expected to be tallied at a later date.
Southampton Township Committee
Two Republican incumbents ran for two council seats in an uncontested race. As of Nov. 6, Ronald Heston, who is serving as deputy mayor, has received 3,455 votes and William Raftery has received 3,399 votes. There are 73 personal choice votes.
Southampton Township Board of Education
Three candidates ran for the uncontested three seats on the school board of education. As of Nov. 7, incumbent Betty L. Wright received the most votes with 4,482 followed by incumbent Joseph C. Allen III with 4,393 votes and candidate Brett W. Hart with 4,014 votes. There are 225 personal choice votes.
No candidates filed for the one, one-year unexpired term on the school board. There are 316 personal choice votes for the seat.
