Two vie for council seats

Two candidates are running unopposed for seats on Berlin Borough council on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5: Jake Miller and Patricia Cummings.

Both candidates were asked to submit an election questionnaire, but as of deadline, Cummings had not responded.

How many years have you lived in Berlin Borough? 7
Married? Children? Married, three children 
Schools and degrees: Graduated from Overbrook, associate’s degree, Camden County College, bachelor’s, Stockton University 
Profession: General manager at Lucien’s in Berlin; worked there beginning at age 16
Is this the first time you have run for a seat on council? No, I’m running for my second term.
What is your involvement in the community? I collaborate on town-wide projects, volunteer at local school events and am available anytime for to answer questions and concerns. 
Why are you running for an elected seat? I would like to continue my work as a councilman in the great town of Berlin Borough. I was new to the political scene before I became a council member, and it takes some time to learn the processes and procedures. 

  What is one area you would like to concentrate on if elected? I would like to focus on the center of town, to make it a family-friendly destination for residents.
