A 52-year-old Williamstown man has been arrested and charged with one count of second-degree possession of child sexual abuse material, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office.
According to documents filed in the case, the prosecutor’s office received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about an individual, later identified as Paul E. Blight, uploading files of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
An investigation led to a search of Blight’s residence, where several electronic devices allegedly belonging to him were found. Forensic analysis of the devices found they contained 33,956 images and 1,018 videos of CSAM.
Blight was released on a complaint summons and is expected to appear in court on May 21. The maximum prison sentence for the charge is 10 years in state prison.
