Police win big at awards

The township police department earned 24 awards at the 2025 Gloucester County Police Awards Banquet last month.

Washington Township police showed up in force at the 2025 Gloucester County Police Awards Banquet on Oct. 23 at Adelphia’s Restaurant.

The department walked away with 24 awards that highlight the dedication, professionalism and bravery of the officers who go above and beyond every day to keep the township safe.

  • Lou DiAmbrosio – Distinguished Service, Meritorious Service, unit citation
  • Mark Allen – Lifesaving
  • Wilfredo Matos – Lifesaving
  • Greg Rossi – Lifesaving
  • Matthew Laudenslager – Unit citation
  • Matthew Barnett – Distinguished Service, unit citation
  • Matthew Franchi – Meritorious Service, unit citation
  • Sean Jackson – Unit citation
  • Gary Egizi – Honorable Discharge
  • Michael Mangino – Unit citation
  • Joe Russo – Meritorious Service
  • Anthony Aquilino – Meritorious Service
  • Nick Myers – Distinguished Service
  • Michael Ferris – Distinguished Service
