
Nineteen Washington Township Public Schools choral students recently were named to the All-South Jersey Choruses following successful auditions.
The district representatives were among nearly 650 area students who competed for the prestigious ensembles on Nov. 15. The singers will begin rehearsing this month in preparation for concerts hosted at Washington Township High School’s Republic Bank Performing Arts Center on Saturday, Jan. 24, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Jan. 25, at 3 p.m.
The Washington Township honorees include:
All South Jersey Junior High Chorus (grades 7 to 9): Bunker Hill Middle School – Alanna Brigandi, Avery Keenan, Robbin Kelly, Ada Marano and Samantha Waddington; Chestnut Ridge Middle School – Tarah Cenat; Washington Township High School – Jake Alexander and Luciana DiVenti.
All South Jersey Senior High Chorus (grades 10 to 12): Washington Township High School – Savannah Cox, Jack Ehrenworth, Alicia Fallon, Riley Holmes, Sofia Rohanna, Sophia Scappa, Madison Slimm, Haylie Strafella, Presley Terch, Courtney Waddington, Joseph Watson.
Special recognition was given to Luciana DiVenti as the Junior High Alto 1 Section Leader.
District choir directors Olivia Dixon (Bunker Hill Middle School), Christina Davison (Chestnut Ridge and Orchard Valley Middle Schools), and Amy Flynn (Washington Township High School) offered a combined statement.
“We, the choir directors, congratulate our students who were accepted to these ensembles and commend them for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to choral excellence,” they said “These students showcase the talent and dedication that proudly represent the [district’s] Performing Arts department.”

Chestnut Ridge Middle School’s Tarah Cenat was selected to the All-South Jersey Junior High Chorus.
