The Washington Township School District has announced that educational technology specialist Kathi Kersznowski will participate in the Google AI Ambassador program, a competitive professional development initiative to prepare educational leaders as AI trainers and advocates.

Kersznowski will travel in August to Google headquarters in New York City to join a select national cohort of educational leaders for a two-day immersive experience. Participants gain hands-on experience with AI tools, develop instructional use cases and build expertise aligned with ISTE+ASCD’s “Profile of an AI-Ready Graduate,” a framework that identifies core skills students need to engage with AI creatively, critically and responsibly.

Participants also receive a digital professional development kit and workshop materials for hosting local sessions, and connect with a nationwide network of more than 650 Google Educator Group (GEG) leaders.

The recognition reflects Kersznowski’s long-standing commitment to AI literacy in education. In her more than 26 years in township schools, she has become a nationally recognized voice in educational technology, authoring two books, including “The Educator’s Guidebook for Teaching AI Literacy and Ethics.” She has also been a keynote speaker and workshop facilitator through her platform at kerszi.com.
