Voters in Washington Township went to the polls early, voted on Election Day on Nov. 4, or mailed in votes elected candidates for unexpired terms on council and the board of education.
Washington Township Council
There were 21,620 votes cast. Republican candidate Dana Pasqualone received 11,313 votes over Democratic candidate Dennis J. Lauria, with 10,287.
There were 20 write-in votes.
Washington Township Board of Education
Seven candidates vied for the three, three-year term seats on the board.
Connie Baker and Julie Kozempel are incumbents, while Sean Lindsay, a former board member, sought another term. James Masotti, Angelo Marano, Terri Schechter, Brandy Williams and Ben Smith sought first terms.
There were 48,637 votes cast. Baker received the most votes, with 7,859; followed by Schechter with 7,319; and Kozempel with 6,315.
Masotti received 6,292 votes, Lindsay got 6,275, Smith received 5,892, Williams received 4,213 and Marano got 4,173.
There were 299 write-in votes.
