Students represent in All-State Orchestra and Mixed Chorus

Washington Township High School (WTHS) students Melissa Engber, Riley Holmes, Haylie Strafella, Presley Terch and Joseph Watson recently represented the school and district in the New Jersey All-State Orchestra and Mixed Chorus.

Engber participated in the All-State Orchestra. Holmes, Strafella, Terch, and Watson participated in the All-State Mixed Chorus.

The ensemble performed on Nov. 7 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City and performed on Nov. 16 at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark. The Mixed Chorus is made up of 250 students selected to perform under conductor Dr. Kimberly Adams. The Orchestra is made up of 100 students selected to perform under conductor Lou Kosma. 

“I am so proud of these WTHS music students for representing our school and our region at the state level,” Director of Choral Activities Amy Flynn said. “They go above and beyond in their musical studies daily.”
