The right to vote is an important individual liberty and the foundation of free government.

The general election is on Tuesday, Nov. 4, and voters will be casting ballots to elect the governor,
assembly members, county surrogate, a county commissioner, a Voorhees committee member and
members of the county committee.

Voters in New Jersey have three voting options: They can cast votes in person at the polls on
Election Day, they can vote by mail (VBM) or they can take advantage of the early voting program.
Applications for the VBM program can be obtained at the township clerk’s office, the County Store at the Camden County Elections and Archive Center in Blackwood or online at camdencounty.com/vbm.

Applications for VBM ballots for the general election must be received by the Camden County Clerk no later than Oct. 28. Completed ballots must be received by the Board of Elections before the close of the polls on election day or be postmarked no later than Nov. 4.

Completed ballots for Voorhees residents can also be dropped off at the ballot drop box outside the front entrance to Town Hall. The early-voting period is from Oct. 25 to Nov. 2. Voters can visit any of seven locations throughout Camden County during the early-voting period and cast their ballot on a voting machine. Find locations at www.CamdenCounty.com.

Township residents can cast early votes at Lions Lake Community Center, 101 Dutchtown Road. Daily hours from Oct. 25 to Nov. 2 are Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Election day voting locations can be found at voorheesnj.com.

Polls in the township will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Any voter not listed on the voting rolls or denied the right to vote, who believes they are properly registered, can vote by way of a provisional ballot that will be reviewed by the Board of Elections to determine eligibility.

For questions about casting your vote, call the Voorhees clerk at (856) 429-7757 or email her at clerk@voorheesnj.com. Your vote counts!
